I’m in the midst of a love affair. With Revlon. It seems that lately I can’t put a makeup look together without reaching for at least 2 or 3 of my favourite products from the brand, especially on lazy days like today when I’m only leaving the flat to run to Tesco. This face is what I like to call ‘Rosy Neutral’ and is seriously low maintenance compared to my usual get-up. A soft lip butter replaces my usual liner + lipstick combo, and an easy to apply cream blush is haphazardly smooshed into place with my fingers. Even on the laziest of days I can never go without a highlighter, and MAC Stereo Rose adds a lovely hint of shimmer on top of my Revlon Coral Reef blush. I use old favourite Soft & Gentle, also by MAC, for my nose, inner corner and cupid’s bow.
Controversially, against every beauty guru’s advice, I love wearing pinky hues on my eyes. Apparently rosier shades can have you lookin’ a little peaky but i find that as long as I keep the inner half of my lid bright, they suit me just fine. Today I swept Gleam by MAC over my lid and defined the crease a little with a touch of Cranberry.
I’m trying to use up my ancient Benefit Moon Beam, so have been mixing a few drops into my foundation a lot recently. This adds a lovely glow which can really help combat dull winter skin. Do you reckon Spring will ever come? I’m dying to hang my Parka up for good!
I’ll be back later in the week to tell you more about the other Benefit products in this post – I’m rather taken with them. In the meantime, tell me, what are you currently wearing to death?
