Pudsey Bear Designer Collaboration

Designer Pudsey Bears for Children in Need

Gal about town that I am, my Friday night has been spent inside eating pizza on the sofa and watching Children in Need on the BBC. Of course, my love for Terry Wogan would be enough for me to tune in alone, but it's obviously a really good evening of entertainment for a fantastic cause. Now I'm a bit late on this but earlier on tonight I discovered that the wonderful Pudsey Bear has been given some new looks by various fashion labels.

Giles Deacon Pudsey Bear for Children In NeedDressed in fabrics from suede to leather, Pudsey is looking pretty funky fresh. Each bear made is unique and a piece of fashion history, so you can kind of understand why the auctions on eBay went totally crazy when the bears went on sale. The Mulberry bear went for a fantastic £2,550 and my personal favourite, the silver Giles Deacon creation, for £942. There are three Pudseys still on sale, so if you're feeling a bit flush and you want to get your hands on a one of a kind designer piece, all whilst doing something brilliant for the kids in the UK who are in need of our help, get yourselves over to the auctions for the Louis Vuitton, Pringle and Topshop Pudseys.

If the bears are a bit out of your price range but you still want to do something good for Children In Need and the hundreds of kids they help, you can donate over here at the bbc website.

Which Pudsey is your favourite?

Very Nice Too ♥

Posted by Lil In Fashion, High Street | 7 Comments »

No self respecting fashionista is happy about liking a celebrity clothing range, is she? It's just not the done thing, right? But is it alright... if maybe.. just maybe... I could make an exception?

Way back in the day (last year) I wrote this post about Fearne Cotton's line for Very.co.uk - I was quite taken with it. I must admit I really like Fearne and I (nearly) always admire her style. I've seen a few posts recently on the Very press day that some bloggers attended where the new collection was shown and I really liked the look of some of the pieces - see Kristabel's post here. Also, when I saw Sherin last week at the Fabulous Magazine event (post to come) she was wearing a lovely nude lace number by Fearne. I do remember logging on to Very a while back and looking at what S/S had to offer. So I headed over to take another look, and I've concluded there really is a lot I'd like to be wearing! I like the cut of the dresses and jumpsuits, along with the cute prints and textures.

And lets not forget... the shoes!!
I think the downside for me is the cost of the line. It seemed much more affordable when I wrote the post last year, but prices for dresses are creeping up around £40 to £70 which in my view is too much for a celebrity line. The price is really the only thing that is stopping me from purchasing... so I have my fingers crossed for a sale! I particularly love the swing dress and the Peter Pan blouse in the first two photos, and with my quest to explore new colours (see here) I'm very tempted...

Have you ever purchased any from the Fearne Cotton for Very.co.uk line? What do you think about celebrity lines in general?

Jeremy Scott for Swatch

Posted by Lil In Designer, Fashion | 14 Comments »

A few days ago, I was rather excited to find out that the wonderful Jeremy Scott, of Adidas winged trainer fame has teamed up with Swatch to bring us some AMAZING WATCHES.

Now, see I don't wear a watch. I never have. I've invested in some vintage ones before, bought the customary Casio, and even tried to wear one around my neck, but for some reason it never stuck. But this however, this, THIS, is different. I think I could be converted.

So the man who brough us these sacred trainers, untouchable by any trainer before or after, is branching out into time keeping. I couldn't be happier. I'm not sure if I've shared my appreciation for trainers on this blog yet... thing is, I know its a bit of a faux pas in the fashion blogging world, but I do love a bit of casual footwear. I wear my Nike Leopard Print Hi-Tops nearly every day. I've lusted after this angel wing Adidas pair for quite sometime but have never managed to get my hands on them.

I'm also quite the obsessive when it comes to angel wings. I wear a small gold wing charm on a black cord on my wrist which I bought in New York in September 2010, and I'm at some point hoping to get a tattoo of a wing on my ribcage. I love Jeremy Scott's simple, clean designs and I'm very excited to wear a version of them on my wrist when these watches go on sale.

There's no official release date as yet, but rumour has it they'll be hitting Swatch.com sometime next months. I'll be waiting with baited breath. And then jumping to purchase the white one. Can't wait.
