About
My name is Lil and I've been blogging at A Storm in a Teacup since 2008.
I'm twenty four years old and though originally I hail from Bristol in the UK, I lived in London from 2006 to 2011. Recently though, after finishing my English Lit and Creative Writing degree, I relocated to Leeds, West Yorkshire. Now I'm discovering what fashion and style mean in the North. Day to day I'm an online content editor for a UK promotional codes website. In my spare time I dabble in some freelance writing, and I blog here at A Storm in a Teacup.
The top and bottom of it is that I am a slave to the aesthtically pleasing. I love things that look good, cool or a little bit weird. I love gold, leather, shoulder pads and collar tips. Also: knuckle duster rings, hi-tops, Versace, animal print and jumpsuits. Yeah... demure is my middle name.
At A Storm in a Teacup you'll find a little bit of what I love and pine after. There will also be a fair bit of reporting on the places I go and the people I meet there. I mix photos from blogger events and press days with reviews of beauty products and clothes. I sometimes post pictures of the outfits I wear. I post about a whole range of different subjects too, from interiors to baking to film and book reviews.
I'm quite taken with the subject of gender and, in particular, women. So from time to time you might see me talking about feminist news items, or the conflicts that come with being a blogger writing about fashion and beauty whilst being a feminist too. It's a subject I haven't fully tackled on the blog yet, but something I intend to incorporate as it grows.
I'm active on plenty of social networks, so you can find me on quite a few different platforms:

Twitter
Twitter is probably the quickest way to get to know me. Follow me there and you'll get far more information than you need, but you might get the bonus of something @caitlinmoran said retweeted, or a picture of a monkey cuddling a bear.

Flickr
When I go to an event, a cute cafe or take outfit photos, Flickr is where I upload them. I'm not always great at getting posts out promptly, so Flickr allows me to report back quickly by sharing photos. You can check my Flickr for photos that don't make the blog posts.

Tumblr
My Tumblr is really a mood board for A Storm in a Teacup. It's mainly fashion and celebrity based and it's where I find a lot of inspiration for looks. Follow for a lot of reblogged .gifs of Britney Spears, street style and Dr Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds.

Pinterest
Pinterest, just like Tumblr, serves as a mood board for me. It's a general mishmash of things I like, but it's less focused on fashion and more on food, interior & gift inspiration. I'm constantly pinning - it's a bit addictive!

Delicious
Delicious is a bookmarking site I use to help me put together blog posts for A Storm in a Teacup & for work. My profile is full of items from shops and articles I've bookmarked, so check it out for an interesting read.
