Ok, so although this is *technically* a wishlist post, I may have actually bought one of these items already. Bad Lil. I’m sorry, but I took a trip to the Bullring in Birmingham last Saturday and I had to have this Topshop Mix Match Sweat Dress. Paired with some gold earrings and a bright pink lipstick, this baby is the MOST 80s THING EVER. Pat Butcher eat your heart out. I was made for this shit.
The other stuff on the list I haven’t bought already, I promise. Yet, anyway. The second dress is a this Dark Green Draped Neck Dress from Cos. I’ve always admired the brand from afar but I’ve never actually been in store and had a proper look before. The store in Birmingham is so clean and so.. Swedish. I fell in love with everything. I love the cut of their pieces, especially their dresses and I can’t wait to add one to my wardrobe.
Since snapping up a handbag and scarf by them in the sales, I can’t get enough Moschino in my life. I visit the website almost daily now (its beginning to get weird) and I love their bright, bold prints and the sense of fun injected into their clothes and accessories that i find missing from so many other high end fashion houses. Next on my list to snap up is one of their iconic belts, but with a flash of colour to bring it into 2013. I can see myself wearing this vivid orange version all Spring & Summer.
That big sparkler in the bottom left is the Pave Crystal Wrap Ring by Butler & Wilson at QVC. Big, spangly costume jewellery is, IMHO, the stuff that dreams are made of and the minute I saw this ring my heart went BOOM. The colours remind me of a mermaids’ tails and it’s kinda like the jewels Paloma Faith was sporting at the Brits. Gotta love a bit of Paloma, that lady is bat-shit crazy.
Lastly, no wishlist post from me would be complete without a few cosmetics, now would it? The nail varnishes from the Illamasqua I’mperfection collection are totally to die for and I actually already have them in tan and purple, or “Freckle” and “Speckle” if you prefer. What looks like glitter suspended in the polishes actually dries semi matte and leaves an amazing eggshell- esque finish. It looks absolutely amazing, it’s long wearing (5 days and counting without a chip) and I want every colour, thanks. Then there’s the new MAC collection, Archie’s Girls. I don’t usually go in for limited editions but some of the products from Archie’s Girls have really caught my eye. The Pearlmatte Beautyy Powder in “Veronica’s Blush” is a must-have.
What are you currently lusting over?
