Carex Refreshing Wipes for Hands, Face and Body The perfect cleansing wipes to keep in your handbag for cleaning hands during the day – ideal if, like me, hand sanitizer weirds you out!
John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo & Conditioner Used once a week on fine hair, these do well to moisturise and repair any damage done by heat or products. Nothing special, but a good, reliable drugstore buy. 2 more to use, so will report back.
Aussie Dual Personality Curl Definition & Soft Feel Serum An old favourite that I find hard to beat. I’ve repurchased this time and time again. Unbeatable for the price and ideal for curly, fuzzy hair to give shape and calm fly-aways.
Davines Authentic Cleansing Nectar A standard shower gel, lathers well and scent remains for a few hours after showering. Unfortunately the scent really isn’t for me – much too floral! I won’t be repurchasing.
Elemis Lime & Ginger Hand & Body Wash An AMAZING shower gel! This smells spicy and fresh at the same time and is possibly the scent I’ve been searching for all my life. It lingers on the skin all day and it’s gorgeous in a bath too. Leaves skin clean and hydrated. If I was going to spend a lot of money on a shower gel, it would be this one. May repurchase when I’m a little more flush.
Evian Facial Spray This product was a LIFESAVER whilst I was on holiday. Not sure it would have any skincare benefits in day to day use but in a hot climate it is just what you need to cool, refresh and calm. I wouldn’t dream of going abroad without this again.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir Ah this old chestnut. I’m a big fan. I love the scent, love the way it perks up my skin and adds a bit of radiance. The cooling qualities means this is my number one toner for now. I’ve already repurchased both sizes.
Garnier Youthful Radiance Smoothing Scrub HUGE MISTAKE. I really advise against this if you suffer with sensitive skin. It’s my own fault because I scrimped on price but this product is far too harsh for my skin type. Chucking away even though its hardly used. I’ve learnt from my mistake.
Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser I wanted to try this as I’ve never used a cloth cleanser before. The formula is thick and creamy but the cloth method for cleansing isn’t for me. The cloth (not the product) felt a bit abrasive on my skin and made it sting along my cheekbones. I was grossed out a bit by the dirty cloth too. Probably a good product, but not for me.
UltraSun Face SPF30 This is hands down the best suncream I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. Used on my face for 2 weeks solid this was not oily, not scented and glided on just like a moisturiser. It protected me from the sun and the tube lasted the whole 2 weeks. I’m definitely buying the full size for my next trip in the sun.
LOreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer I love this product – it gives a very effective all day glow underneath make-up and helps my base last all day. Sadly, about half way through the tube this product split and is now impossible to use. I like it enough to repurchase but if it happens again it’s bye bye for good! Sad face.
Layla D Natural Beauty Honey Moisturiser My find of the summer. I got this in a SheSaidBeauty Box just when I needed a day cream. This smelled too sweet for me at first but I quickly grew to like it. It’s great at cooling, calming and hydrating dry and irritated skin all day long. It’s not thick enough for extreme dry skin but will serve me well until winter sets in! I will definitely be repurchasing this.
