I think it's fair to say that most of us like a donut. I don't think that's much of a reach. Whether we consume them once in a blue moon or every other day, donuts are that doughy, sugary, fried friend who always makes us feel decidedly naughty. But donuts and couture? Donuts and models? That's not a mix you see often.
That's why it's nice to see Krispy Kreme and Glamour Magazine coming together to promote a healthy relationship between fashion and food at this month's Fashion Week. Size zero and eating disorders are issues which have been prevalent in the high fashion world for years and still remain a serious threat. That being said, any campaign that supports a healthy attitude towards food is one that I for one, fully support.
The #GLAMOURGlaze Krispy Kremes hit stores on 29th August and are hanging around until the 2nd October - so get em while you can. The flavours are Strawberry Glaze and Orange Glaze and cost £1.35 each. They're inspired by the 70s trends of the A/W season, so when you slip on your new purchases you can accessorise with a yummy treat! WIN.
The Krispy Kremes went down very well in my office last week proving to be a very popular leaving gift from me! They definitely won me some brownie points on my last day before the great move up North. Strawberry seemed to go down better than Orange, the flavour being more subtle. But by the end of the day the box was, unsurprisingly, completely empty.
Check out the #GLAMOURGlaze hashtag to stay up to date with the campaign. Updates on my move coming soon. Til then, get yourself some donuts!
