'Ello 'ello. I'm sorry ladies and gents that this week's "This Week" is a bit late... I've had rather a lot on!
Last week and the one ahead of us comprise my last fortnight of university living. All my work is done and dusted, my fees all paid, so now my only commitment is to have a bloody good time for as long as I can put off real life. Last saturday was my Summer Ball. It's an all day affair, the first part being 1pm-5pm and being made up of bumper car rides, vomit inducing waltzer spins, Pimms o clock and a line-up of class acts. For this, I chose to wear a jumpsuit and chunky knit, as the weather wasn't exactly summer perfect but it managed to stay dry.
The evening events kicked off at around 10pm and went on til, an epic, 5am. For this I wore an old tiered monsoon black dress with pearl accessories from the lovely LouLouChic.co.uk (full post coming soon). I also wore a fancy dress style black bowler hat for a little 80s Molly Ringwald chic. Here is a blurry but dazzling photograph of me and Sam:
The Summer Ball was everything I could've hoped for my 3rd and final one: Eliza Dolittle and The Streets live on stage, drinks aplenty, Silent Disco for hours in a marquee on the lawn and a Hog Roast at 3am. Had such a wicked time but was very glad to reach the 5am "Survivors Photo" surrounded by all of my friends.
As the girls and I have lived together for a whopping 3 years now, and because we love each other oh so so much, we thought we'd do a little something to commemorate that. On friday, the day before the ball, we headed down to a little parlour in Hammersmith and got some matching ink. It was my first tattoo and was a piece of cake because its so tiny and I'm so pleased with the little hearts we all have - mine is on my wrist and is currently doing a very good job of healing. Its looking kinda blurry round the edges, and a bit red, but I'm very excited for it to be healed:
