Short Hair Love Affair ♥

I’ve been a short haired lady since May 2010 now. It was a transition, let me tell you, a challenging one at that, but now, 9 months on, I can honestly tell you ITS ONLY THE BEST THING I EVER BLOODY DID!

What it lacks in versatility, short hair more than makes up for in style, attitude and personality, and I for one, am a convert. I can’t even entertain the idea of ever growing my hair again. The pure maintenance maybe what has swung it for me. I shampoo, condition and pretty much leave it to do what it likes. Some days I use a diffuser, others I don’t. Some days I add some product but I definitely don’t feel the inner panic I used to when my mousse has run out or I can’t find a bottle of serum. I’ve moved from a girl who had “meh” fine, flyaway and unruly hair, who never had a proper “hair style” to one of the short haired clan, and I tell you what MY LIFE HAS CHANGED, GIRLS. And I love it.

This is my love letter to short hair.

If you’re considering it, hopefully this is will help you gather your courage to go for the crop!

Ahh I bloody miss having short hair!!I've had mine in a crop, asymetric, bobbed...almost everything, but I do have to admit that after growing it out my super thick curly hair is much easier to manage now I can just shove it in a bun and forget about it. When it was short it took twice as long to style! But it doesn't mean I'm not lusting after Michelle Williams' amazing white blonde do right now...no fair!

Wow, how incredible does kate moss look with a crop? she needs to learn from your experiences lily!!Seriously though, I love your hair - and would looove to go for the chop, but am definitely not brave enough! Would need a super super good hairdresser to do it, and i'm not sure i've found that yet :Sxxx

AHHHHHH Im just beginning to grow OUT my short hair....and im still undecided whether to! I found my short hair SO easy to maintain on a day to day basis (and I think the boyf preferred it too)however I just cnanot afford to have my hair cut every 6 weeks, as I was having to.

I once had shorter hair and it looked awful on me! I love it on others and you're right, it has BAGS of attitude but I suit longer hair I think! I really love your hair though, it always looks so cool and I must admit I did consider chopping mine off after I last saw you! :)Maria xxx

I would love to have to balls to chop mine all off but I had a moment of madness when I was 1 and did it then and HATED it tho I think it was maybe too old a style for my face. I love the pic with the red hair!your so lucky you suit it so well!!x

I went for the chop just over a week ago and I'm loving it. I've never had so many compliments on my hair! And no more crunchy dry ends! :)

i don't know.. haha, you hit the nail at the top because this has been on my mind ages. I am growing my hair out for my wedding, but then after.. what do i do? part of me just wants to chop it off because I swim loads and it would make my life jsut SO much easier. majority of me is so scared that I wouldn't be able to pull it off.. and once you cut it it takes quite a long time to grow it back, plus i like what it looks like at the moment.. I dn't know yet, but Emma Watson is my ultimate hero and I think that she was the first thing that started me on thinkinga about this.. hm. i am just so undecisive!

I LOVE this post miss! I had short hair about a year ago and it was so liberating. It's almost renouncing your gender stereotype... even though all of these beautiful women had short hair and still managed to look feminine, having short hair on them made them look so much more striking. I hope that makes sense? jazzy ♥

I love my cropped hair. I started to grow it in the summer but had it cut off even shorter in Dec. I now face the horrible task of growing it again as I'm a bridesmaid in Sept and it's very un wedding at the moment :(I'll be straight back to get it cut off again in Oct!xxx

I too am a short-hair-gal I had all minehacked off in April last year and I'm loving changing the colour and cut everytime I visit the hairdressers - short = versatile!Love this post - some great cuts. Although I have to admit I'm not a fan of Emma Watson's do. Love the blonde girl with the shaved side though! xx
